Brick Stitch Increase – Beading Tutorial for Beginners
Row first

1. Thread two beads onto your needle, leaving a 7-8 inch tail of thread.
2. Pass the needle back through both beads and pull the thread tight, positioning the beads side by side.
3. Pass the needle back through the first bead.
The second row – Brick Stitch Increase

4. Add two beads.
5. Slide the needle under the thread connecting the beads in the previous row, then pass it up through the second bead you added.
6. Add a bead, pass the needle under the thread connecting the two beads in the first row, then bring it back up through the newly added bead.
The third row

7.8. String two beads, pass the needle under the thread connecting the first two beads in the previous row, then ring it back up through the second bead you added.
9. Add two beads, slide the needle under the thread connecting the first two beads in the previous row and go back up through the second added bead.,
10. Add one bead, pass the needle under the thread connecting the last two beads in the previous row, and then bring it back up through the newly added bead.

The fourth row
11. 12. String two beads.

13. Pass the needle under the thread connecting the first two beads in the previous row, and then bring it back up through the second bead you added.
14. Add one bead, pass the needle under the thread connecting the second and third beads in the previous row, then bring it back up through the newly added bead.
15. Pick up one bead, slide the needle under the thread between the last two beads in the previous row, and bring it back up through the added bead.

16. Pick up one bead, pass the needle under the thread connecting the two final beads in the previous row, and then bring it back up through the added bead.
The fifth row
17. String two beads, pass the needle under the thread connecting the first two beads in the previous row, then bring it back up through the second bead you added.
18. Add one bead, pass the needle under the thread connecting the second and third beads in the previous row, then bring it back up through the added bead.

19. 20. Pick up one bead, slide the needle under the thread linking the next two beads in the previous row, then pass it back up through the newly added bead.
21. Add one bead, pass the needle under the thread connecting the last two beads in the previous row, then bring it back up through the added bead.
